First set of improvements look good - so nice to see work being done - looking forward to more improvements and more mulch - mulch throughout complex to cover bear spots would improve overall appearance tremendously. Thank you for planting trees - our structures are large so we need large trees to compliment their size. Work to lilies on Sheffield looks especially good!- Corinna
Is there a specific plan to plant trees [or even one tree] in the center of the bike path which is directly behind 23 Parfait Lane? When 6 or 7 trees were removed about ten years ago, it was with the plan of replacing them. A few maples were put in around the pool entrance, but they did not continue up the path towards the gate. This particular bare spot that I'm asking for a tree to be planted in would make a privacy screen between the upper floors of the homes on each side which is sorely needed. I have made this request numerous times, but not since this recent plan and progress has been made. Would you please seriously consider doing this and let me know. Thank you. Marilyn Sands West
Corinna - thanks for your comments. I have recommended that we put the mulch in more areas through the association in 2008, but not sure yet whether the Board wants to do this. Marilyn - Right now there isn't a plan for planting trees, but I hope to work on that in 2008, especially since we will be removing more trees that are outgrowing their spaces and consequently likely to cause problems. In 2007 we had two trees roots invade the drainage (or sewage) lines causing serious problems. In any case, on the January landscape walkthrough we will take a look at the area on the bike path that you mention and consider planting a tree there in 2008.
